While all of the experts, fans, and critics debate whether India or New Zealand is the better
team, the BCCI has set yet another milestone in the social media sector. On Tuesday, June
15, 2021, the BCCI's official Instagram handle, 'Indiancricketteam,' surpassed 18 million
followers. The achievement is just incredible, and respect must be given to the Indian team,
which has consistently put in solid performances over a lengthy period.
The
much-anticipated maiden edition of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final is just three
days away, and India is preparing to face the Black Caps. They recently defeated England 1-0
in a two-match Test series. The BCCI recently broadcast footage of players including Virat
Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Rohit Sharma training and practising, which drew
many viewers.
The Indian cricket team has nearly 14.5 million followers on a Twitter
account called BCCI and Instagram. It also doesn't lag on Facebook, where it has 28 million
likes. The Men in Blue arrived in England on June 3 and, after completing their compulsory
quarantine, were allowed to play an intra-squad practice game ahead of the summit battle on
June 18.
Aside from the regular training films, the official Twitter account also
published some practice game recordings of players preparing for the big game. Virat Kohli's
video, in which the batter displays his numerous shots with a steely and confident
demeanour, was by far the most popular of the videos shared.
